Endung -e · ending grows
The stem stays; a plain -e is added. This is the workhorse plural — very common for one-syllable masculine and neuter nouns.
Die Woche hat sieben Tage.
The week has seven days.
Merkhilfe: the article is the easy part — every plural takes die. Learn each noun with its plural, the same way you learn it with its gender. The umlaut ¨ is not a pattern of its own so much as a twist that rides on the others.
