Ankündigungsbake (Autobahnausfahrt) — Motorway exit countdown marker
Zeichen 450, StVO Anlage 3. Blue boards with three, two and one stripe standing 300 m, 200 m and 100 m before an Autobahnknotenpunkt — an exit, an Autobahnkreuz or an Autobahndreieck — and also before a serviced Rastanlage. The 300 m board may carry the junction number. Verified 2026-08-03.
In plain English
Blue stripes = motorway exit at 300/200/100 m. Red stripes = railway crossing at 240/160/80 m. Two countdowns, two colours, two very different consequences.
What you are looking at
Blue rectangle with three (then two, then one) thick white diagonal stripes.
Remember it like this
Blue = Bahn frei (carry on to the exit). Red = Bahn (train). If you remember only one thing about Baken, remember the colour.
Easy to confuse with — the exam exploits these
Hinweiszeichen (Information) — where you are. usually a blue or green panel. Checked against StVO Anlage 1–3 on 2026-08-03.
Original practice questions — not the amtlicher Fragenkatalog. Every question, sign description and scenario here is written by us and covers the same StVO rules as the official Klasse B test. We are not TÜV, DEKRA or a Fahrschule, and we do not reproduce the official catalogue. Road signs themselves are amtliche Werke (StVO Anlage 1–3). Rules checked against StVO and FeV on 2026-08-03.
Fines and Punkte are indicative. The amounts shown come from published Bußgeldkatalog tables, not from statute, and are last verified 2026-08-03. The binding figure is the one on your own Bußgeldbescheid.
